Money, Power and Corruption
I have always been one to understand that in this world we are slaves of a select few. And as we get poorer, the select few get richer. I try to live in a very minimalist manner, avoiding credit cards, and not spending more then I make. But alas, this will likely never be enough to make me a truly 'free' person. For example, I hope to be purchasing a house soon. That house will be purchased using a mortgage, and if I fail to keep working my ass off to pay for that mortgage, then I will be foreclosed by the bank. But lets say I do pay it off. Then I will own a home! Great! Except then I still need to pay taxes, and insurance. But even then, chances are that the bank will somehow someday get that property back, and make more money off of it by offering a mortgage to someone else for the same home. This following film, from ZeitgeistMovie.com really explains how the currency system in the United States of America has corrupted almost the entire planet, and has been the cause of many of the worlds biggest political events since World War 2. For example: Did you know that Al Qaeda was fictional? Indeed, the name Al Qaeda refers to a computer database. Former Leader of the House of Commons Robin Cook, who admirably resigned in protest of the 2003 Iraq invasion, penned a piece in the London Guardian shortly before his death that shed light on the true genesis of the name. "Al-Qaida," states Cook, "literally "the database", was originally the computer file of the thousands of mujahideen who were recruited and trained with help from the CIA to defeat the Russians." In translation, Al Qaida literally means "the toilet" in arabic. What group would call themselves that? Enough talking by me however, I would like it if all my regular readers took 2 hours of their time to watch the following video. Then comment here letting us know what you thought of it.
