Tekkit: Where I have been for the past month.

Greetings all. Did anyone miss me? I have been meaning to sit down and write a post for the last few weeks, about a number of subjects, but the truth is I have been slightly addicted to Minecraft. Not just regular Minecraft however, but Tekkit. Tekkit, is a mod pack, which is well developed and runs as a stand alone application, which utilizes Minecraft as a backbone in essence. Tekkit, is your normal Minecraft game with the added bonus of having several very nifty mods installed. Such mods being IndustrialCraft 2, BuildCraft, RedPower 2 and Equivalent Exchange 2 just to name a few of the larger mods. A while back I did play with Buildcraft and IndustrialCraft however, as stand alone mods, few wanted to go through the hassle of installing them at the time to play on my old server. Now however, with Tekkit, things are quite easy to get set up, and you can still have your vanilla Minecraft on the side, unspoiled by mods.
Yes, I do have a Tekkit server. I found an amazing seed, which has a huge ocean, and many very realistic medium sized islands that are fairly spread out. There are also 2 mainlands which I have found. My idea is to have multiple people playing on the server, and each one will construct and maintain their own town or territory. There are also about half a dozen people on the server at this time, with established towns. If you are interested in joining, shoot me a email.
I found Tekkit through watching the yogscast videos, and I must give them props on a well produced series on the mod pack. One of the few play through series on youtube which actually has an interesting plot and some quite entertaining moments. Check it out!
