Circuit City Sale???
So I got curious, and decided to go to Circuit City with my friend to laugh at all the poor souls who were being ripped off. Circuit City is having a 'going out of business sale'. But unlike most going out of business sales, this one was not actually a sale. The only things we saw which were a reasonable price, were the Music CD's and video DVD's. Everything else was sale priced at least 15% higher then the regular every day prices at other stores like Best Buy. For example:
This simple ISA computer power cord (which can be purchased for about 50 cents at some bulk suppliers, and about 7 dollars (for a name brand Belkin Cable, such as this) at various other stores. This was being sold without any packaging. Guess for how much???
The original price was NOT 20 bucks... There is no way a simple passive power cable is worth 20 bucks. Let alone 12 bucks. Lets look at a plasma TV now...
While we were standing there we looked up the model number of this exact TV on Best Buys site... Their every day price is $1400-ish as I recall. Nowhere near $2,300... and $200 less then Circuit City's going out of business sale price. Nothing at Circuit City I saw was even remotely considered a 'deal'. In this day and age with this economy, stores such as this deserve to be shut down. Screw your customers and this is what happens.
