Red Tape!

Wow, so much red tape just to apply to a Volunteer Fire Dept! I have to do the following:

1. Wait until I get my I-766 (Temp Work Permit) which should come soon (within 2 to 4 weeks)...
2. Apply for a Social Security Number, using my I-766.
3. Apply for a NYS Drivers License, using my SSN, I-766 and Ontario Drivers License.
4. Apply for the Volunteer Fire Department using the SSN and NYS Drivers License.

Craziness I say! This whole immigration thing has been stressful and drawn out. I really can't wait to get back out there and start living life again. First priority however is to join that Fire Dept :)
