Wendy's Nightmare

Blog and Journal Thoughts and Politics

We all hear stories of fast food places, and horrible things that happen with people's food. Well, it finally happened to me. Today I purchased a meal from a local-ish Wendy's because my son said he wanted a wendy's burger. Now, fast food isn't a normal diet for my son, but sometimes as a 'treat' or if we are rushed, it will be allowed. The drive thru line today was long, so my wife went inside to pick out a meal. After almost half an hour, she came back with 2 burgers, a chili, and a kids burger and fries.

We returned home to eat it, and after washing my son's high chair I placed the burger on the tray and unwrapped it. Only to find a bite already taken out of it. I looked at my wife and asked if he nibbled on this in the car and I didn't notice? No... the bag had been with her in the front seat the whole time.

Oh now I was furious. I stormed back to the Wendy's to complain, shaking with anger. I knew there was nothing that really could be said or done to make up for this horrible action. I don't plan on ever eating there again, so cupons would be useless. And whether is was refunded or not was of no matter at this point. I brought back the entire meal. I looked the manager square in the face and asked him what could be done for this. He had no answer. Of course I didn't have a receipt either, so no refund. I left the whole meal there and stormed out.

Of course I left a bad review on google... for what it is worth. And I took to the local public Facebook group to warn other parents. Now we all know that Facebook groups are pointless unless the topic is silly or useless. For real issues like this, posts are often deleted fast - because why discuss real problems? And indeed this one was. But not before I gathered a lot of similar stories.

I shall post the reponses here:

Now we can guess what kind of workers are at this location. Low class kids, likely with zero worth ethic. Based on the other comments, this is an ongoing issue. And shall be until this location gets shut down. Sadly, with the welfare and social security benefits being limited in the coming months, it seems this might be a more common occurance. Low quality work done by people who supposedly think that they can't get fired, or know they can bully whoever is their manager. Or those who will claim racism or discrimination whenever they are questioned. Because you know that is likely who is the culprit is here.

Replace the food workers with robots. They can find jobs harvesting in fields, or sorting trash if they can't be trusted with people's food or safety.

In any case, this location is at Twin City highway and Young Street in Tonawanda, NY. At of this posting Wendy's corporate hasn't responded to me, tho they did take my phone number.
